誤った歴史観 / Wrong historical view

２１＞１８９５年・日清戦争で勝利した日本は朝鮮半島や台湾などを獲得したが、俗に言われる占領政策を取らず自主国家運営策を施した。

その確たる証拠は人頭税を徴収しなかった事だ。朝鮮王朝は自立政策を取らず、鉱山採掘権や森林の伐採権や関税権を、ロシアに譲渡し放漫政治を断行した。

余談ではあるが、ロシアの進める南下政策に危機感を持った日本は、売却された権益の総てを買い戻し回復させた。

２２＞当時のロシアは世界最強の海軍力を誇ったが、極寒冷地のため冬場は全く機能しない。その弱点を埋めるにはどうしても朝鮮半島に軍港が必要であった。

反対に大日本帝国政府は、目と鼻の先である半島にロシア海軍基地を許す訳には行かない。

この両国の利害関係が日露戦争の発端である。

２３＞1904年・日本政府は、「局外中立宣言」をしていた朝鮮と軍事行動議定書を交わし、友好国としての立場を明白にした。

然し、朝鮮内部では李氏朝鮮による旧体制が維持されており、独自改革が難しいと判断した進歩会が日韓合邦を模索し、日露戦争に置いて日本軍への協力を惜しまなかった。

２４＞一方で旧李朝支配者層は日本の影響力をあくまでも排除しようと試み、日露戦争中でもロシアに密書を送るなどの外交を展開し、戦時に密使が日本海軍により捕えられ、大韓帝国の裏切り行為が露見したのである。

これらが当時の世界情勢であり、どの国も生き残りを掛けた戦いでもあった。

２５）世界の常識を覆し日本は大国ロシアに勝利し、列強の脅威からは解放された。

独立国として自立を約した大韓帝国は、旧朝鮮王朝の勢力が怠慢な上に、国土は荒腐して慢性的食糧難が続く。

重ねて伊藤博文総理が朝鮮人テロリストに暗殺された事で、一気に日韓併合の気運が動き出したのである。
